Your earnings go to the payout account you set up during onboarding. To change the bank behind it, or to fix a connection that has stopped working, use the portal — never email anyone your bank details.
Changing your bank account
If your payouts are paused
The portal shows a payout status, and it can go back to “not ready” without you changing anything. The usual reasons:
- Our partner needs a document renewed, or asks you to re-confirm your identity after a long gap.
- A detail you entered no longer matches your bank’s records.
- Your bank rejected a deposit, so the account needs correcting.
In each case the fix is the same: open Payouts, follow the partner’s prompts, then refresh the status. See also why is my payout paused.
Why this can block you
Payout readiness is a hard gate: a client cannot hire you while it is unresolved, and an existing engagement’s pay can be held until it clears. This is deliberate — it prevents work being done with no route to pay for it. It is worth fixing the moment you notice it rather than at the end of a cycle.
Timing
Earnings are released to your payout account when your client’s charge runs, Tuesday at 1:00 AM Pacific, for the week that closed the previous Sunday. Our partner then deposits into your bank on its own schedule for your country. A freshly changed account can take an extra business day or two on its first deposit.
