Monitoring & Reports

Live monitoring and the activity feed

See tracker screenshots while shifts are still in progress, follow the event log, and set idle and activity expectations for your team.

You don’t have to wait for weekly approval to see what your team is working on. The client portal gives you two live views: Screenshots, which shows desktop-tracker captures from shifts that are still in progress, and the Event log, a running record of approvals, timesheets, charges, and payouts across your engagements.

What the Screenshots page shows

Open Time tracking → Screenshots in the client portal. Every screenshot captured by the desktop time tracker while a contractor is clocked in appears here — including shifts still in progress — newest first, and the page refreshes automatically.

Each view starts with a quick summary: how many screenshots are in the current view, how many contractors have activity, and the time of the most recent capture. Below that, screenshots are grouped by contractor. Each group header shows the contractor’s name, their current scope (when they’ve set one), how many screenshots they have in the view, and the time range the captures span.

Screenshot tiles can also carry a context line — the active application and site at the moment of capture, when that was recorded. A collapsible Sites visited while clocked in panel on the same page summarizes browsing by domain.

Finding a specific moment

Use the contractor filter to narrow the view to one person, or leave it on all contractors.
Switch between Day and Week grouping, then step through older or newer periods with the arrows. Day view labels recent periods as “Today” and “Yesterday.”
Click any tile to open the full-size screenshot in a lightbox. The caption shows who it belongs to, when it was captured, and the app or site context when available.
Use the on-screen arrows or your keyboard’s left and right keys to move between screenshots without closing the lightbox.

If nothing shows yet, that’s expected before the first shift: screenshots appear as soon as a contractor clocks in on the desktop app.

The event log

Time tracking → Event log is an honest, running record of what has happened across your engagements. Events are grouped by day and include things like timesheets submitted and approved, engagements started, charges authorized, captured, or failed, payouts sent, interviews proposed, accepted, declined, cancelled, or completed, and application status changes.

Filter the log with the tabs at the top — All, Money, Timesheets, or Hiring. Money and timesheet events show the relevant dollar amount or hours on the right, and many entries link straight to the page where you can act on them. Use Load more to page further back in time.

Setting expectations for your team

Under Settings → Monitoring & expectations you control two standards the desktop tracker enforces company-wide:

  • Idle auto-stop. If no keyboard or mouse activity is detected for the number of minutes you set, the tracker stops the shift and the idle time is removed from billable hours. The contractor simply clocks back in. The form shows the allowed range for this value.
  • Expected activity level. The minimum share of clocked time with real keyboard or mouse activity you expect. Weeks below this threshold are flagged for your review — they are never auto-deducted.

Both settings apply to your whole team, and you can add per-contractor overrides — for example a tighter idle limit for one role. Leave an override field blank to inherit the company default. New shifts pick up any change; shifts already running keep the settings they started with.
